已经到2019年了,再回来补充补充,坏消息是GAN的热度已经没有那么高了,一是各种各样的应用坑都被踩完了几乎,二是GAN结构以及不容易训练的问题。

LeCun first selects one exemplar breakthrough. (Quora)

The most important one, in my opinion, is adversarial training (also called GAN for Generative Adversarial Networks). This is an idea that was originally proposed by Ian Goodfellow when he was a student with Yoshua Bengio at the University of Montreal (he since moved to Google Brain and recently to OpenAI).

This, and the variations that are now being proposed is the most interesting idea in the last 10 years in ML, in my opinion.
